Ebook About
Offering a new interpretation of the hidden messages and symbols that have ornamented Beatles mythology for years, this examination of the Beatles' recordings and album artwork theorizes that John Lennon's murder was eerily foretold. Following a fascinating and unique trail of sorcery, mysticism, numerology, backwards masking, anagrams, and literary and theological writings, the book posits that John Lennon sold his soul in order to achieve international fame and fortune and subsequently paid the ultimate price for his success.

Book The Lennon Prophecy: A New Examination of the Death Clues of the Beatles Review :

This is a very, very meager, poor, insubstantial and unsubsantiatable, book. If you think this book offers good evidence that John Lennon made a pact with the devil, you ought to reassess your critical faculties, because they are feeble. Why?The author's speculations are baseless. He tosses out a web of unimaginative suggestions that prove nothing.I would give the book one-star for having striven half-halfheartedly to establish nothing, except that the book does provide observations here and there that are interesting. For example, on the cover of Rubber Soul, all of the Beatles except John Lennon are looking away from the camera while John is looking down at the photographer: Wow, neat. However, Joseph Niezgoda's conclusion is that this is proof-positive that the photographer is in a grave and John is looking down at him.Best proving his mindlessness, Mr. Niezgoda makes the following claim to prove John made a deal with Satan: Though the Beatles were no more talented than dozens of other English bands, like, say, the Kinks, they were fabulously successful. As for Lennon vs. Jesus, John Lennon actually took a great interest in Jesus, an enthusiasm which as often as not seemed hostile in his earlier years later turned to admiration, which he expressed in one of his last interviews He was documented to have gone through a phase in his Dakota years where he followed the 700 Club avidly and called their prayer line. An article in Christianity Today recounts that John Lennon converted to Christianity for a period in 1977. That this turn was temporary does not prove he might later not have made it permanent. In the book, All We Are Saying, the author, David Sheff quotes Lennon as saying, "I was brought up Christian and only now understand some of the things Christ was saying in those parables anyway-- when I go away from all the interpretations that were being thrown at me my whole life. There is more to it." In one of his last songs, "Beautiful Boy," John Lennon counsels son Sean, "Before you go to sleep, say a little prayer."Lennon ended an interview, around the time of his 40th birthday and only days before he died, with the words, "God willing, there are another 40 years of productivity to go." "God Bless" and "Thank God" were words that John Lennon spoke more often than once. With due respect to Joseph Niezgoda's somewhat creative efforts to sell a book, it should be pointed out that God-haters and mockers do not speak this way. If you would like to understand why John Lennon is a revered artist who made brilliant contributions to our culture, I recommend you read some other, genuinely thoughtful, readily available and coherent, books that actually help explain it. Or John Lennon and the Beatle's music and listen to it.
This book is beautifully written, copiously footnoted, and inventive. Niezgoda sets forth a completely different way of conceptualizing the troubled life of John Lennon and the now-legendary clues in The Beatles recordings and album artwork. If you think you know from Revolution No. 9 and haven't read this book, reconsider. Ditto for the bouncy-jouncy One After 909, which, after I learned was a very old song that the Beatles recorded only years later, inexplicably gave me the creeps. Without giving it away, Niezgoda has given us the reason. If you're a PIDer, a PHDer (a believer that Paul Had Doubles), or simply PIDPHD-curious, this book will provide you a new framework in which many of the puzzle pieces sit far more easily than they do in a solely Paul-focused analysis. Do not make the mistake that I almost made, namely thinking that I already knew what was in this book.I ordered the Kindle version, and while illustrations in Kindle books often are tiny and useless, the album art in the book are quite clear. This book is an intellectually satisfying combination of thorough research and compelling writing. It absolutely belongs in your Beatles library.
